There is a well known philosophy around time management that uses the analogy of filling up a beach bucket–it goes something like this:

First, put in the large big rocks
Second, the smaller rocks and pebbles
Then the sand
And finally, fill up the rest of the bucket with [...]
So recently I came across this blog post on customer service that said:
Make it easy for your people to serve customers…Instead, be the Ritz-Carlton. Each employee is given an individual, daily budget to create a wow experience for a customer, or for “service recovery.” (That’s to fix, or even over-fix, an error or problem for [...]
Most productivity blogs, books, seminars that I have encountered recommend getting up earlier as a means to getting more done each day.
In the past I have always been a bit of a night owl (I hate waking up and can hardly be described as a morning person) but I have discovered that working out and [...]
So normally a sale, is a sale, is a sale. But the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is one of the special ones. Why? Well, because instead of putting the

For example (and these are random examples pulled off the [...]
Tonight I had to swing by the pharmacy to pick up a prescription, there was a problem with the insurance so I had to sit for 25 minutes to wait for it to be corrected. It seemed like a regular Tuesday night, and I spent about 10 minutes meandering around the store, decided I didn’t [...]
Ladies, the next time you are on a date don a red ensemble. Based on a study done at the University of Rochester men are more attracted to women wearing the color red. Men tend to percieve women in this color to be more desirable of more sexually attractive.
I don’t own anything in red except [...]
