Personal Update - Travel, Diet and Work

Hello and Good Morning,Right now I am sitting in a hotel room in Houston, TX.  I am staying at Hotel ZaZa, which I really like--it is very impressive given the price (it was cheaper than the Double Tree Hotel right next to the airport).  There is a museum across the street showcasing Corot paintings and I am hoping my meeting will end early enough to check it out.Last night we ate at a local restaurant called Cyclone Anaya in our quest for some Tex Mex cuisine.  The salsa was hot and the food was great.  I had this enchilada with crab meat, and we had the ceviche as an appetizer--both were fresh and tasty.  Although my enchilada had this wine cream sauce which was hardly figure freindly. It is actually quite difficult to eat healthy when you travel.  I am having a hard time.  This morning I had an omelet for breakfast and while I tried to make a healthy choice (egg whites, cheese, tomatoes and mushrooms) there was lots of butter on everything.  And even though I just grazed lightly on the potatoes (which also had their fair share of butter) I did eat the sourdough toast (with butter and jelly).  So needless to say, the healthy eating hasn't started on a good note, again, today.  I am going to try to do better the rest of the day and perhaps work out if I feel up to it.Overall my weight has been slightly down (probably thanks to the 6 weeks of consistent workouts), but since I am traveling for work this week (and the labor holiday last weekend) my workouts have taken a bit of a backseat to everything else in my life.  I need to get back on the bandwagon.  Although the biggest component in my weight loss is the keto diet that I started after visiting EHI Primary Care so hopefully I can get the whole "food thing" under control today and the rest of the trip (this is my plan and objective anyway--salads for lunch and dinner, no dessert, no alcohol and hopefully a workout).I never sleep well in hotel rooms so I am operating on 5 hours of sleep punctuated with several wake-up-get-a-drink-of-water fits.  I wish I could learn to just adapt and sleep in a hotel room, but it never seems to work.  I think the only hotel I slept well in is when we went to Kona, HI on vacation and stayed at the Mauna Lani.  After about the 3rd day I was so comfortable I was able to sleep in without a problem.  I am just not a very good traveler in general (I can't pack in a compact way, I hate driving in strange places).  Anyway, I better go get ready for my big meetings today.Hope everyone is having a good week so far!
